Chat Freely
I designed and built this sample real-time chat application to gain deep experience with modern web technologies. It features a custom WebSocket server for instant messaging and WebRTC for peer-to-peer video calls. The app uses Clerk for secure user authentication and Supabase (PostgreSQL) for robust data persistence. This project was a hands-on exercise in integrating these powerful tools into a seamless user experience.
Home Assistant
I developed a custom Home Assistant desktop application using Electron, powered by Google Gemini AI. By implementing Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, I enabled Gemini to directly control my Sonos speakers and Philips Hue lighting systems. To enhance interactivity, I integrated Groq Whisper's speech-to-text API, allowing for seamless voice-activated commands to manage my smart home environment.
As a UX Engineer at Google (Contract via US Tech Solutions), I engineered high-impact, global marketing websites for YouTube TV and YouTube Creators. I collaborated closely with Product Managers and stakeholders to deliver responsive, accessible, and SEO-optimized experiences. Additionally, I contributed to the development of internal component libraries and enhanced static site tooling using TypeScript and Node.js, ensuring scalable and maintainable codebases.
Jolokia Inferno
As the Lead Frontend Software Engineer, I drove the UX/UI development of Inferno, a comprehensive video conferencing and virtual events SaaS platform acquired by Nextech AR Solutions. I architected and built white-label solutions featuring live and on-demand video, custom branding, and interactive tools like quizzes and caption editors. Leveraging Angular, Redux, RxJs, and TypeScript, I led the frontend team in delivering a robust, responsive application integrated with RESTful APIs.
Polycom RealAccess
I led the UX and frontend engineering for Polycom RealAccess, a SaaS analytics platform for managing virtual conferencing infrastructure. Working in an Agile environment, I collaborated with .NET Core backend developers to visualize complex data through interactive charts and dashboards using Kendo UI and Bootstrap. My role involved rapid prototyping and implementation to ensure a seamless, responsive user experience across multiple browsers.
Angular UI Boostrap
I contributed to the open-source Angular UI Bootstrap project by designing and styling its demo documentation site. My work helped improve the visual presentation and usability of this widely adopted library, demonstrating my commitment to the developer community and open-source ecosystem.
SST Fasteners
I designed and developed high-conversion landing pages for Simpson Strong-Tie's Fastener product lines. Focusing on visual appeal and information hierarchy, I created engaging web experiences that effectively showcased product features and drove user engagement.
SST Retailer Locator
I designed and implemented a retailer locator for the Simpson Strong-Tie "DIY Done Right" campaign. This feature provided users with an intuitive interface to find local dealers, enhancing the customer journey and bridging the gap between online browsing and in-store purchasing.
